TOKYO - All Nippon Airways said on August 12 that it will lower fuel surcharges added to international airfares for tickets issued from September, following a temporary easing in fuel prices after a sharp rise linked to worsening conditions in the Middle East.
The surcharge for one-way flights to North America and Europe will fall by 10,000 yen from the August level to 55,000 yen, while the surcharge for flights to China will be reduced by 1,100 yen to 14,300 yen.
ANA said the reductions reflect a temporary stabilization in fuel prices after they had risen sharply due to deteriorating conditions in the Middle East.
