TOKYO - Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways are preparing to coordinate schedules on some domestic routes as the longtime rivals seek ways to maintain air services.
The two airlines are considering adjusting departure times on flights between Haneda Airport and Okayama Airport from October so that their services do not operate during the same time periods.
The move is intended to spread flights more evenly through the day and support the continued operation of the route.
JAL and ANA are also expected to consider further measures, including adjustments to the number of flights and possible codeshare operations.
