NAHA - Air travel in Okinawa is beginning to be disrupted by the approach of Typhoon No. 18, with All Nippon Airways canceling 119 flights and more than 20,000 passengers expected to be affected.
ANA has already decided to cancel a total of 119 flights arriving at and departing from Naha, Miyako and Ishigaki from the evening of August 26 through August 27.
The cancellations are expected to affect more than 20,000 passengers.
Japan Airlines has also decided to cancel 10 flights serving the Okinawa region on August 25.
Further disruptions are expected as the typhoon approaches, and both airlines are urging passengers to check the latest flight information before traveling.
