FUKUOKA, Jan 10 (News On Japan) - An aircraft arriving at Fukuoka Airport from Bangkok on Wednesday morning mistook instructions from air traffic control, leaving it stuck on the taxiway.
According to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, around 8:45 AM, the VietJet Air plane, after landing at Fukuoka Airport, proceeded to taxi along a different route from the controller's request.
The plane subsequently entered a dead-end, resulting in it becoming stuck and requiring a towing vehicle to pull it back.
The incident caused a delay of about 40 minutes in the VietJet Air plane's arrival, but there were no injuries among the crew and passengers.
The runway remained open, with no significant impacts on other flights.
The Fukuoka Airport Office is looking into the incident, suspecting pilot error.
