TOKYO, Nov 18 (NHK) - Kabuki actor Ichikawa Ennosuke has issued a comment after being given a suspended sentence on Friday.
Ennosuke said he was in complete despair at the time of the incident, but feels an indescribable sense of his sins for involving his parents, who had always watched over him, and for hurting people in the Kabuki world and many others with trauma that is difficult to heal.
He went on to say he will consider what he can do from now on. He said he will work hard every day, while recognizing his own weakness and seeking advice and support from people around him, instead of brooding by himself.
He concluded with a deep apology for causing trouble.
