TOKYO, May 24 (News On Japan) - Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. has revealed that customer information from their auto insurance policies was leaked to competing companies.
This leak was uncovered in 238 agencies where it had become a routine practice to include competing insurers in the email recipients when exchanging customer information. Similar leaks were also reported by Sompo Japan, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, and Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance.
