Japan's AI Utilization in 2024: Lagging Behind Global Leaders

TOKYO, Jul 06 (News On Japan) - In the 2024 Information and Communications White Paper published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, it was revealed that only 9.1% of individuals in Japan use generative AI, significantly lower than China's 56.3% and the United States' 46.3%.

The report also highlighted that corporate usage of AI in Japan stands at 46.8%, which is considerably behind the 84.7% observed in the United States and other Western countries.
