KAGOSHIMA, Jul 17 (News On Japan) - An eruption of Sakurajima on July 14th that sent plumes of smoke as high as 4,500 meters has been captured on camera.
The smoke was visible from an airplane flying overhead, and the captain announced, 'Sakurajima has erupted.'
Sakurajima remains at eruption alert level 3, with restrictions on entering the area, and warnings have been issued regarding volcanic rocks.
