TOKYO, Jul 18 (News On Japan) - The Japan Meteorological Agency has announced the end of the rainy season in the Kanto-Koshin and Tokai regions. With the rainy season's conclusion, severe heat has returned.

The Meteorological Agency stated that sunny days are expected to continue and announced at 11 a.m. on the 18th that the rainy season has likely ended in Kanto-Koshin and Tokai regions.
This announcement comes one day earlier than usual.
Severe heat is forecasted, especially in the regions where the rainy season has ended.
The highest temperatures are expected to reach 37°C in Ueno, Mie, and 36°C in Nagoya and Kofu, with many areas from Kanto to the west facing extremely hot days.
Heat stroke alerts have been issued for 14 prefectures from Tokai to Okinawa.
With significant rises in temperature, thorough measures against heat stroke are essential.
