Aomori, Aug 01 (News On Japan) - The Hachinohe Sansha Festival, which boasts a history of approximately 300 years and is recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, began on July 31 in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture.
During the eve of the festival, 27 splendid floats, featuring themes such as Kamakura warriors and Kabuki, were unveiled, lighting up the summer night. The festival runs until August 4 and is one of the prominent summer festivals in the Tohoku region.
