NARA, Aug 05 (News On Japan) - Nara Park hosted the annual 'Summer Deer Gathering,' attracting deer with the sound of a horn, on August 3.
At 9:30 AM, as the melody of Beethoven's "Pastoral" was played on a French horn, about 200 deer, including fawns born this spring and those with impressive antlers, gathered all at once.
This "Deer Gathering" has been a tradition for over a century and is now held every summer and winter to offer visitors a chance to enjoy Nara's morning scenery.
The regular event of Deer Gathering will continue on Saturdays and Sundays until 25 August.
