Ishikawa, Sep 17 (News On Japan) - Noto Railway has started operating the 'Storyteller Train,' which conveys the memories of the areas affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
The train service, launched to pass down the lessons learned from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake to future generations, welcomed its first group of passengers on Monday. The group consisted of 15 people from Aichi Prefecture who joined the ride to raise awareness of disaster preparedness.
Three narrators, including Sabumi Miyashita, a former attendant of Noto Railway’s sightseeing train, took part in the storytelling. During the 30-minute ride from Anamizu Station to Wakura Onsen Station, they shared their personal experiences of the disaster.
This “Storyteller Train” will continue to run for tour groups, passing down the lessons learned from the disaster to future generations.
