TOKYO, Jul 30 (News On Japan) - Toyota Motor has resumed part of its advertising on Fuji TV, returning in late July with sponsorship of a motorsports segment in the evening news after a suspension that began in January.
The company explained that the program aligns with its goal of "conveying the appeal of cars."
Toyota also stated, "We intend to continue advertising and sponsorships with media in a way that resonates with our customers and stakeholders."
The automaker had halted its advertising on Fuji TV since mid-January.
Separately, Nissan has also restarted limited advertising, disclosing that it resumed commercials in select anime programs earlier this month.
The shift follows a broader trend among major advertisers. Beverage giant Suntory and confectionery maker Lotte resumed commercials on Fuji TV in July, and food manufacturer Meiji is expected to follow from August.
