IBARAKI - Prince Hisahito, the only son of Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko, turned 20 on September 6, as he continues to take part in a growing range of official duties as an adult member of Japan's Imperial Family.
The Imperial Household Agency released footage of Prince Hisahito visiting the Science Museum of Map and Survey in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture.
Prince Hisahito has been interested in maps since childhood and was shown taking part in activities related to surveying and geography.
During the visit, he peered intently through a telescope and experienced exercises including calculating latitude.
