Nov 02 (NHK) - Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has reappointed all of his Cabinet ministers, following his reelection by the Diet as Japan's leader.
Both Houses chose him as the country's 98th prime minister on Wednesday. The ruling coalition won a landslide victory in last month's general election.
Abe met with Natsuo Yamaguchi, the leader of junior coalition partner Komeito, to discuss his new ministerial lineup. Then, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga announced the members.
Abe's 4th Cabinet was inaugurated on Wednesday night, after an attestation ceremony at the Imperial Palace.
In reappointing all the ministers, Abe stressed policy continuity. His last Cabinet was reshuffling only 3 months ago.
In keeping with his election pledges, Abe will announce a supplementary budget for the current fiscal year.
He plans to instruct Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Taro Aso to compile a draft.
The extra budget is expected to include funding for improved child-care services to resolve an acute shortage of such facilities.
