May 25 (Japan Times) - At least 10 components apparently fell from a Japan Airlines plane and hit a window of a clinic and a car in Kumamoto Prefecture on Thursday, local police said, adding no one is believed to have been injured.
According to the transport ministry, the Boeing 767, bound for Haneda Airport in Tokyo returned to Kumamoto Airport due to a problem with its left engine, which was reported to have made abnormal vibrations.
Police in Kumamoto said at least 10 metal components around 5 centimeters long that were believed to have fallen from the plane were found in and around a clinic in the town of Mashiki in the prefecture.
A window of the clinic was broken, and a car on the clinic premises also sustained damage.
