TOKYO, Feb 05 (News On Japan) - A special new installment of "Eyeshield 21," titled "Eyeshield 21 BRAIN×BRAVE," has been released for free on Jump+. This new one-shot celebrates the 21st anniversary of "Eyeshield 21," the popular manga series created by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. Fans of the series can now enjoy this festive one-shot at no cost on the Jump+ platform.

The original "Eyeshield 21" series, acclaimed as one of the strongest in American football manga, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2002 to June 2009, with a total of 37 volumes published. It was also adapted into a TV anime that aired from April 2005 to March 2008, with Atsushi Tamura of the comedy duo London Boots 1go 2go voicing the character Hiruma Yoichi, which became a hot topic at the time.

The story follows the timid and bullied Sena Kobayakawa, who joins the Deimon Devil Bats American football team at Deimon High School, led by team captain Hiruma Yoichi. Using his remarkable speed, Sena transforms into a star player, and the series is known for its intense and passionate storytelling.

The new one-shot "Eyeshield 21 BRAIN×BRAVE" takes place after the original series' conclusion, featuring a dream match between the Enma Fires (Sena) and the Kyodai Wizards (Hiruma) in the final game of the All-Japan College Football Championship at the Koshien Bowl. Former teammates collide in this heated battle, which is sure to excite fans.
