Gas Cylinder Explosion Injures Two at Yamagata Stadium

Yamagata, Jul 15 (News On Japan) - In Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture, a gas cylinder from a kitchen car operating outside a soccer stadium exploded, injuring two people.

At around 5 PM on July 14th, a 119 emergency call reported an explosion and injuries outside ND Soft Stadium Yamagata in Tendo City.

The explosion occurred at a karaage (fried chicken) stand's gas cylinder. According to the fire department, two male employees, one in his 50s and the other in his 20s, suffered burns to their faces and arms and were taken to the hospital.

Both individuals are reported to be conscious.

The incident took place outside the home stadium of J2 team Montedio Yamagata. The explosion happened about two hours before the match, causing significant congestion as many people were already present.
