AI Wave Hits Sports Equipment: Japan's Largest Exhibition Opens

TOKYO, Jul 17 (News On Japan) - Japan's largest sports-related companies' exhibition SPORTEC has opened, showcasing the latest technologies utilizing artificial intelligence (AI).

Training machines equipped with AI propose optimal workout menus tailored to each user's abilities and goals.

These advancements not only contribute to improving skills and preventing injuries but also address the shortage of trainers.

According to the organizers, over 70% of the machines on display use AI.

Additionally, systems that visualize individual physical information and analyze future health risks using AI have been unveiled.

AI cameras for sports broadcasting can automatically shoot and edit, providing unmanned live streaming services that have already been adopted by some local governments.

This exhibition features over 500 companies from both Japan and abroad, expecting to attract 42,000 visitors over three days.
