AI Brings Back Management Insights From Konosuke Matsushita

Nov 29 (News On Japan) - An AI system recreating Konosuke Matsushita, known as the 'God of Management,' has been developed. This technology reproduces not only his voice but also his philosophies.

The recreated AI of Matsushita was unveiled by Panasonic Holdings and others to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the founder's birth. It was developed using over 48 hours of recorded audio and more than 34 million characters of textual data from Matsushita during his lifetime.

In a demonstration, the AI responded to a question about the implications of AI adoption on employment:

‘Will AI adoption reduce the need for human labor? Well, it’s true that as AI adoption progresses, there is a view that human labor will become unnecessary. However, that’s just one aspect of the truth. When looking at the bigger picture, it’s a bit different. While AI can certainly replace simple and repetitive tasks, this doesn’t mean all human work will disappear. On the contrary, by entrusting tasks that AI excels at, humans can focus on more creative and high-value work.’

Panasonic plans to use this AI in internal training programs to impart Matsushita’s management philosophies to the next generation.
