OSAKA, Jul 20 (News On Japan) - The Nepal Pavilion, the only facility that had remained closed since the start of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, finally opened on July 19th, more than three months after the event began.
The pavilion, themed around traditional Nepalese festivals, features local decorations and Buddhist-related artifacts on display.
Its opening had been delayed due to a construction stoppage caused by unpaid fees from the Nepalese side to the construction company.
"I came here specifically for this," said one visitor. "There were so many Buddhist exhibits—it was very impressive."
With the opening of the Nepal Pavilion, all 84 pavilions at the Expo are now in operation.
