Trailer: 'The Girl at the End of the Line'

Sep 11 (News On Japan) - Slated for a nationwide release in 2026, 'The Girl at the End of the Line' is written and directed by Kota Yoshida and adapted from Asako Yuzuki’s novel 『終点のあの子』 (Bunshun Bunko), with a cast led by Ami Toma, Sena Nakajima, Kokoro Hirasawa, and Kotona Minami.

At the entrance ceremony of a private girls’ high school, Kiyoko and Natsuko—who had advanced from the school’s middle division—were approached on their way to campus by an unfamiliar girl in a blue outfit. She turned out to be Akari, a newcomer admitted from outside the school at the high school level.

Akari, whose father is a famous photographer and who has lived overseas, fascinates Kiyoko. At school Akari stands apart—somewhat out of place—yet she is also the object of envy.

Just when Kiyoko felt she and Akari had grown close, spending more and more time together and believing they had formed an “intimate relationship,” Kiyoko comes across Akari’s diary—.
