Nov 21 (Japan Today) - Three male Keio University students, one of whom was a participant in the college's "Mr Keio Contest," have been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman and stealing her wallet after encouraging her to drink alcohol.
According to police, in May 2018, Yota Watanabe, 22, and Kazuki Koyama, 22, - both second-year students - along with another unnamed suspect, who was 19 at the time, are accused of getting a woman drunk to the point of unconsciousness at a karaoke booth in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward, Fuji TV reported. The suspects then allegedly sexually assaulted her while she was passed out and stole her wallet containing 8,000 yen in cash.
During a police investigation, Watanabe was quoted by police as saying, "I don't recall anything." Koyama and the other suspect have partially denied the allegations against them.
