Blackjack guide for beginners

Jan 09 (newsonjapan.com) - There is a card game which among all the others brings with it the fashion and the charm of magic, which encloses luck and strategy more than any other one. We are talking about Blackjack

Also known as 21, it consists of defeating the dealer in getting a number closest to 21 without ever overcoming it. Below are the things you need on how to play blackjack and win

Fundamentals of the blackjack game

The first thing we need to know is the cards' value. In blackjack, there are basically three kinds of cards. The card from 2 to 10, which value like the number they have written on. The figures like K, Q and J which value 10 points and the Aces. The aces value 1 or eleven depending on the situation. The players' score is given by the sum of the cards.

When the game commences

It takes place in this way. The dealer distributes two uncovered cards for each player, then for himself. The dealer will have one covered and one uncovered card. The maximum number of players is 7 apart from the dealer.

There is no limit for the time or the money you can spend playing this game, the only limit is the conscience of the player. The decks are compounded of 52 cards each, and there is no jolly.

Normally, the number of decks used is 7, but this number depends on the casino.

In fact, each casino can have its own rules on this topic, reducing the number of decks even to 1, if there is only one player at the table and the version of the game, he is playing in the high limits one.

Before even starting, each challenger has to place his/her stake. There is a minimum stake allowed and most of the time the dealer will remind the rule just before the game commences.

Once the dealer has given all the cards, the first player on the left is the first to evaluates his score, then he decides whether or not calling for a card, whether or not he/she wants to stand (which means the score is good enough in his/her opinion), or if he wants to pass.

To be honest, there are other possibilities than those listed above, like splitting the cards or to place a bet, or make insurance but, to understand the fundamental of the game and keep everything easy to understand, those three options are enough.

The player calls for a card

In this case, the dealer will take a card from the sabot (this is how the group of multiple decks is called) and gives it to you uncovered. Then it is up to you to decide whether the score you have reached is good or bad and then stand before passing the number 21 then lose.

Assuming that you got a score of 18 (3+5+10), the dealer then uncovers the second card.

If the number obtained summing both the cards is smaller than yours, he/she must call until he gets a higher score or exceeds the 21 then loses.

In the case of a victory form, the player pays 2 times your stake, which means that if you have bet 10, you will receive your 10 plus 20.

This is also a rule which can vary according to the casino.

In the case the player stands, the operations described above will be exactly the same, while if he passes, the dealer will take your money without even playing.

The advantage of the dealer stays in the fact that he has to actually play only after the gamer has concluded his hand.
