TOKYO, Jan 11 (News On Japan) - Fast Retailing, the parent company of Uniqlo and GU, will provide 100,000 items of winter clothing including down jackets to the areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
The mega retailer has already delivered 5,633 items to Nanao City and Suzu City in Ishikawa Prefecture.
With harsh cold weather expected to continue in the affected areas, the company plans to further support with an additional 30,000 clothing items upon request from Ishikawa Prefecture.
The company has also announced plans to donate 100 million yen through non-profit organizations.
