TOKYO, May 01 (News On Japan) - Two women, a 54-year-old mother and her 26-year-old daughter from Kasukabe City in Saitama Prefecture, have been referred to prosecutors by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police for allegedly selling nail parts resembling the logos of luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton without authorization.
According to investigators, the pair are suspected of illegally distributing decorative nail parts mimicking the logos of six high-end brands, including Louis Vuitton. The items were reportedly sourced from Chinese websites and sold through social media platforms.
The two are believed to have sold more than 5,300 items, generating around 3 million yen in revenue. Both women have admitted to the allegations during voluntary questioning.
