Yuzu Donates to Noto Peninsula Earthquake Relief with Fan Contributions

TOKYO, Jan 25 (News On Japan) - The popular music duo Yuzu updated their official website on Thursday to announce that they have donated to the relief fund for the Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture. The duo, consisting of Yujin Kitagawa and Koji Iwasawa, along with their company Senya Inc., have collectively contributed to the disaster relief efforts following the devastating earthquake.

The official website reported, "We are pleased to report on the 'Ishikawa Prefecture Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund.' We have donated 653,977 yen, which was collected from the audience during our 'Yujin's Birthday Live 2024 DRESS CODE ~Welcome Back~' performances in Kanagawa and Osaka, to the 'Ishikawa Prefecture Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund.'"

Furthermore, Yuzu revealed that they, along with their management company, made an additional joint donation to the same relief fund, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the affected area.

The statement on their website concluded with a heartfelt message: "We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the disaster, and we pledge to continue supporting the recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas as Yuzu."

The Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula earthquake has seen a growing wave of donations from celebrities, including the boy band Arashi, baseball star Shohei Ohtani, YouTuber HIKAKIN, and the music group BE:FIRST, showing a united front in the face of this natural calamity.
