TOKYO, Aug 18 (News On Japan) - Google has announced the launch of a new AI-powered feature in six countries, including Japan and the United Kingdom.
For instance, when searching for "gifts for missing a wedding," the AI will summarize relevant online information, providing details such as "The standard amount is about half to a third of what you would give if attending."
Previously, users needed to open websites displayed in search results to verify information, but this new feature streamlines the process by providing concise summaries.
The move is seen as an attempt to counter the threat posed by ChatGPT, which has emerged as a significant competitor to Google Search.
