Osaka Schools Begin Second Semester

OSAKA, Aug 27 (News On Japan) - The second semester began on August 27 for elementary and junior high schools in Osaka City, with opening ceremonies held in classrooms as a precaution against heatstroke.

At Takakura Elementary School in Miyakojima Ward, students returned full of energy after the summer break. The principal encouraged them to use their summer experiences to grow. Students shared their summer activities, including trips to the beach, traveling, and visiting family. They also expressed their goals for the new semester, such as excelling in art exhibitions and sports day. The students were excited to reunite with friends after the break.
