TOKYO, May 16 (News On Japan) - Sony has unveiled its latest Xperia smartphone, equipped with advanced camera capabilities powered by its proprietary AI technology. The new model features the brand's first-ever "AI Camera Work" function, which uses artificial intelligence to recognize skeletal movements of moving subjects and automatically track them to keep them centered in the frame.
Another new feature is "Auto Framing," which allows users to simultaneously record a wide-shot video capturing the entire scene and a close-up of a specified subject. The function is designed to meet demands such as those from parents who want to record both the atmosphere of a school event and focused footage of their own child.
The camera technology incorporates expertise from Sony's Alpha series of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. The phone also benefits from display innovations developed through Sony's Bravia television line and audio quality enhancements honed through the Walkman series, bringing together the company's strengths in imaging, display, and sound into a single device.
