Motorola Unveils New Foldable Phone With Enhanced AI Features

TOKYO, Oct 01 (News On Japan) - Motorola on September 30th announced the release of its new foldable smartphone series, the razr 60, which features an outer display that allows users to operate apps without opening the device.

The company has also enhanced its proprietary AI system, moto ai, equipping it with functions such as automatically generating playlists tailored to the user’s mood. Through moto ai, users can also access a range of AI services, including Google’s Gemini and Microsoft’s Copilot. The new model is priced at 135,800 yen.

Competition in the foldable smartphone market has been escalating, with Samsung, Huawei, and Google already participating and speculation that Apple may enter the field in 2026. Motorola aims to double its sales in Japan over the next three years through the introduction of new products such as the razr 60.
