Tokyo Police to Launch AI Police Station

TOKYO, Oct 10 (News On Japan) - The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department plans to launch an unmanned “patrol station” in the Ariake district of Koto Ward from March next year, aiming to create a new base to safeguard the local community.

The patrol station, nicknamed “Pato-Sute,” will serve as a docking point for patrol cars, enabling quicker response to emergency calls such as 110 reports.

In the future, the facility will feature AI-powered touch panels and evolve into a “digital koban,” allowing citizens to interact with police services remotely.
