Sharp to Launch Generative AI-Enabled Hot Cook Appliance

TOKYO - Sharp will launch a new Healsio Hot Cook automatic cooking pot on September 17 that uses generative artificial intelligence to suggest menus and explain food preparation steps through a smartphone app.

The electronics maker announced on July 29 that the appliance will be the first automatic cooking pot compatible with its CookTalk generative AI service.

Users can ask the app for advice on meal planning and receive menu recommendations and step-by-step preparation instructions in a conversational format.

The model with a cooking capacity of 1.6 liters is expected to sell for around 72,000 yen.

Sharp plans to introduce generative AI services across a wider range of home appliances as it seeks to increase sales.
