TOKYO, Jan 16 (News On Japan) - A teaser for the documentary film "Volunteering for Fools," which follows the punk band The Swanky's, has been released on YouTube.

The film features interviews with The Swanky's members: vocalist WATCH, bassist TV, guitarist LOODS, and drummer BEER, conducted over an extended period.

It unravels the history of The Swanky's through these interviews, as well as rare footage and audio recordings, and testimonies from numerous celebrities influenced by their music and fashion. The film includes appearances by notable figures such as Ayanokoji Sho (Kishidan), TOSHI-LOW (BRAHMAN, OAU), Kotoe Eiji (Biking), and Kukki! (Yasei Bakudan). The teaser contains clips of the band members filmed between 2021 and 2022.

Directed by Kouta Seshimo, "Volunteering for Fools" will have an advanced screening at kino cinema Tenjin in Fukuoka starting March 15th. The film will then be released sequentially nationwide, beginning in Tokyo at UPLINK Kichijoji and other locations from March 22nd. *The official spelling of kino cinema includes an accent aigu (é) on the 'e'.
