PARIS, Jul 29 (News On Japan) - 14-year-old skateboarding sensation Ren Yoshizawa scored 272.75 points to claim the gold medal in the women's street final at the Paris Olympics on Sunday.
Rinne Akama, 15, earned the silver medal with 265.95 points. Funa Nakayama (Murasaki Sports), the 19-year-old bronze medalist from the Tokyo Olympics, finished in seventh place with 79.77 points. The performance of the Japanese team surpassed their achievements at the Tokyo Olympics, where they secured both gold and bronze medals.
