NARA, Oct 16 (News On Japan) - Did you know that persimmons becomes 'meltingly sweet' when heated?

Persimmons are in season, especially the 'Tonewase' variety from Nara Prefecture, which ranks second in Japan for persimmon production. Cooking experts suggest frying persimmons at high temperatures to enhance their sweetness and create a delicious texture.
