TOKYO, Jul 18 (News On Japan) - The Japan Meteorological Agency announced at 11 a.m. on July 18th that the Kanto-Koshin, Hokuriku, and southern Tohoku regions appear to have entered the post-rainy season period.
The end of the rainy season in the Kanto-Koshin region came one day earlier than average and matched last year's timing, making it a "normal" end by historical standards.
In Hokuriku, the rainy season ended five days earlier than usual and 13 days earlier than last year, classifying it as an "early" end.
Southern Tohoku saw an end six days earlier than average and 14 days earlier than last year, also considered "early."
With this announcement, only northern Tohoku remains in the rainy season among the regions in Japan, excluding Hokkaido, which typically does not experience a rainy season.
