TOKYO, Oct 23 (News On Japan) - Tokyo police have arrested a Chinese national on suspicion of document forgery and other offenses in connection with a case of TOEIC exam fraud involving impersonation.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect is believed to have acted as a recruiter, enlisting another test-taker who has already been indicted for allegedly providing answers to others during the English proficiency exam.
Police are continuing to investigate the full scope of the operation and whether a broader network was involved in arranging fraudulent TOEIC test-taking on behalf of others.
