Tokyo Metro Unveils New Headquarters

TOKYO - Tokyo Metro has unveiled its new headquarters ahead of a full relocation at the end of August, featuring an open office design filled with route symbols, station names and other elements inspired by the subway network.

The visitor area has been designed to resemble a train station platform, reflecting the company's identity from the moment guests enter.

The new office was designed around the concept of encouraging employees to pursue new ideas, take on challenges and create value through greater cooperation across departments, with staff opinions incorporated into the planning process.

Workspaces have been given a more open feel, while free-use areas have been installed throughout the office to make meetings and informal interaction easier.

Tokyo Metro has also incorporated route symbols and station names in various parts of the headquarters to create a distinctly Metro-style atmosphere.

The company hopes the new environment will improve employee motivation while encouraging communication and collaboration.
