OSAKA - Universal Studios Japan unveiled its 2026 Halloween event to the media on September 9, a day before its public opening on September 10, featuring a record number of zombies and the park's first horror attraction restricted to visitors aged 18 and over.
The annual Halloween event at the Osaka theme park is being promoted by USJ as offering its "scariest horror experience ever."
Halloween-themed characters also appear throughout the park, including a Minion dressed as Frankenstein.
This year's event will feature more zombies roaming the park than ever before.
USJ has also introduced its first attraction since the park opened that cannot be experienced by visitors under the age of 18.
The new adults-only horror attraction is among several strengthened offerings for 2026, while the park's familiar zombie-themed experiences have also undergone major renovations.
During the September 9 media preview, participants screamed as they experienced the upgraded horror attractions, underscoring USJ's push to make this year's Halloween season more intense than previous editions.
