Jun 15 (NHK) - Japanese electronics maker Toshiba has decided to quit another market. Company executives say they will stop manufacturing and selling residential fuel cells at the end of July.
The struggling company says it will focus on key sectors including industrial fuel cells.
Home-use fuel cells such as the ENE-FARM system generate electricity through a reaction in the air between hydrogen and oxygen. The heat that's generated can be used to boil water and for other purposes. Toshiba started selling its system in 2009.
