Jul 26 (Japan Today) - Police in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, have arrested a 20-year-old female college student on suspicion of attempting to kill her ex-boyfriend by hitting him in the head with a hammer and stabbing him in the back with a knife.
According to police, they received an emergency call around 1 p.m. on July 23 from a resident of an apartment, who said that a man had been stabbed on the fourth floor. When police arrived at the scene, they found a a 21-year-old male student of Kwansei Gakuin University, who had been beaten about the head with a hammer, stabbed in the back with a kitchen knife, and shot with a stun gun, Fuji TV reported. He was rushed to the hospital and was in a stable condition, police said Monday.
Police said the victim's former girlfriend, Yuna Nawate, also a student at Kwansei Gakuin, was splattered with the victim's blood and was arrested at the scene. The weapons used in the attack were found in the apartment.
