Hitting up all of Kyoto's top attractions

Sep 03 (Javis and Lea) - We love Kyoto and this was our second time visiting! It’s usually super busy and packed to the brim with tourists, plus it was summer (Kyoto gets especially muggy compared to the rest of Japan lol).

However, after watching videos on how quiet Kyoto has been recently, it convinced us to make the trip.

We didn't quite manage to completely escape the crowds because we visited close to a holiday weekend, but it was definitely much much quieter than we remember it to be. In part 1, we visit Arashiyama and the bamboo forest (we saw almost nobody else here!), made our way to the beautiful and zen Kinkaku-ji Temple, then popped on over to Nijo Castle and the downtown Nishiki Market before finally making our way to our Airbnb. We booked a pretty cool traditional Japanese house for the trip: watch our house tour near the end of the video.
