TOKYO, Jan 18 (News On Japan) - Thirteen employees have been arrested for operating illegal men's esthetic salons in over 30 rooms of a condominium near Tokyo's Nakano Station, with sales exceeding 1 billion yen in a year.
Yusuke Fujiwara (47) and twelve others are suspected of providing illegal sexual services to clients in a condominium room in Nakano Ward last October.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Fujiwara and others rented 33 rooms in a condominium near JR Nakano Station for their operations. The case came to light after residents of the condominium became suspicious of different men entering and leaving the rooms daily and contacted the police.
The salon offered additional options like changing into revealing outfits that hinted at sexual services, besides the basic fee.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police believe the salon generated over 1 billion yen in sales in approximately one year.
