TOKYO, Feb 02 (News On Japan) - A recent study conducted by the company behind the sleep gaming app 'Pokemon Sleep' has revealed that the average sleep duration of Japanese users stands at 5 hours and 52 minutes, marking the shortest among the main seven countries surveyed.
Pokémon Company utilized data from over 100,000 users of Pokémon Sleep across seven countries to calculate the average sleep duration by country.
The findings indicate that the global average sleep time is 6 hours and 28 minutes, with France leading at 6 hours and 47 minutes, followed by the United Kingdom at 6 hours and 40 minutes, and the United States ranking fifth at 6 hours and 29 minutes.
Japan's average of 5 hours and 52 minutes is notably 36 minutes less than the global average, highlighting a significant shortfall.
Pokémon Sleep, a game that encourages collecting Pokémon by sleeping, aims to make sleeping a more enjoyable activity. The app's unique approach to integrating sleep with gameplay has been anticipated to have a positive effect on encouraging better sleep habits.
