Satomi Sakashita memulai tur mengamati lumba-lumba pada tahun 2005, menarik hampir 4.000 peserta setiap tahunnya sebelum pandemi. Namun, gempa bumi membuat keberlangsungan wisata ini menjadi tidak menentu.

Di Teluk Nanao, kawanan lumba-lumba hidung botol Indo-Pasifik yang terdiri dari 17 ekor telah menjadi rumahnya.
