Wakayama, Aug 26 (News On Japan) - A private small rocket named 'Kairos,' which exploded five seconds after takeoff during its March launch, is now set to make another attempt in December from a site in Kushimoto Town, Wakayama Prefecture.
Space One, the company behind the launch, revealed that the failure was due to the rocket's thrust being lower than anticipated, preventing it from reaching the necessary speed.
Endo Mamoru, a director at Space One, explained, "The rocket could not reach the required speed and position, leading to an automatic flight abort and self-destruction, which prevented the mission from being completed."
Space One has identified the cause of the failure and is now preparing for a second launch, targeting December from the same launch site in Kushimoto.
