The Japanese method for finding the inner calm

Apr 25 (newsonjapan.com) - In a hurried and confusing age, in which we all seem to have adapted to the violent rapidity of globalization, people are constantly looking for a method or practical advice to achieve a state of inner calm.

Obtaining that peace, at least for a few hours, in the whirlwind of their days, can guarantee them a minimum amount of relaxation and total abandonment, far away from social media like Instagram or Facebook.

Some, keeping this goal in mind, enroll hopefully in mindfulness or yoga classes, in the belief that by participating once or twice a week in these courses, along with other equally stressed and equally hopeful practitioners, their lives can change suddenly, abruptly.

Concentration and Practice

Others, on the other hand, taking advantage of their knowledge of the most prestigious oriental disciplines, decide to apply their principles in every moment of the day, regardless of the nature of their activities at different times of the day, reaching an awareness and a state of mind that instantly projects them into the realms of eternal bliss, thus finally obtaining the much-desired peace. Deciding to enroll in a meditation course can certainly have its benefits, but if you independently choose to apply its principles for only two hours a week, or a little more, its effects will be so weak that you won't even notice them. Your interiority will remain unchanged, and will not make any leap forward. Instead, you must find a method that you can apply at any time, regardless of the position of your body, the disposition of your spirit, or even the physical location in which you find yourself so that you can continue your practice for many hours a day, always striving to bring your awareness to heights never before reached.

Among the most effective methods to achieve this kind of awareness, which is the shortest way to reach inner peace, there is one developed by the Japanese Tendai Buddhist school (T'ien T'ai in Chinese), which consists of applying a daily meditative practice even while walking, sitting and even lying down, and with which you can reach a high state of mind through the activities we do every day, in all moments of our daily life, without distinction. The technique is called "Chih-Kuan", and it can be practiced by anyone, no matter where they are. If you are walking down the street, for example, you should clear your mind of superfluous thoughts and focus all your attention inward, with an analytical and introspective spirit, trying to gain insight into the real nature of your mind and the external objects that you seem to perceive through its functions. The most advanced practitioners, in this way, come to understand that the mind, in the final analysis, does not seem to have a well-defined semblance or even a clearly delineated appearance and that therefore it itself, together with all the external objects that we perceive through it (with eyes, nose, mouth, and touch, whose functions are essentially traceable to the mind), are essentially devoid of real existence as if they were immaterial entities. This lightning-fast understanding will not only bring you closer to the supreme truth but will also contribute decisively to dispell all your philosophical doubts about existence, the purpose of life, and other questions of the same kind, transporting you directly into that realm of calm and awareness where happiness finally becomes possible, almost attainable and touchable as if it had always been there.

Anxiety can be neutralized

The main causes of fear, anxiety, and restlessness can be swept away in exactly this way, through systematic cultivation of one's awareness. When you are fully aware, when you have finally understood the real nature of our existences, you will be pervaded by a state of endless joy, because at that point there will be nothing left to do but enjoy your bliss, with no more fears or worries whatsoever. It is a condition that you can achieve every day, while you are at work or at home, or even in bed, just before going to bed. Even online apps like Calm could be very helpful.

This state of mind will also help you to appreciate every single moment of your day, especially those dedicated to your enjoyment. Asiabet.org, one of Asia's leading betting and gambling portals, offers entertainment solutions for all tastes, offering its players the chance to indulge in more traditional games (such as poker), sports betting, and other casino games, even though new kinds of modes that increase even more the feeling of being in a real casino, such as the possibility of interacting with a live dealer.

The first step to take if you really want to achieve happiness and inner calm is to accept your starting condition and use it as the foundation on which to build your future joy, living your days with deep awareness, moment by moment, until you reach the ultimate insight.
