NEC and Kimuraya Develop 'Love-Tasting' AI Bread

TOKYO, Jan 18 (News On Japan) - NEC, in collaboration with the traditional bread maker Kimuraya, has unveiled an innovative culinary creation named 'RenAI (Love) Bread,' a product that captures the essence of romantic feelings in its flavor.

This unique bread utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze phrases from romance-themed television shows and lyrics from love songs, particularly focusing on fruits and sweets mentioned, to create a unique taste experience.

Among the various flavors, 'Mutual Love' stands out, offering a refreshing sweetness akin to peaches, reminiscent of a successful first love coming to fruition. There are five varieties in total, including 'Tears of Heartbreak' and 'Jealousy' flavors, each designed to evoke different aspects of romantic experiences.

Yuki Kitazawa, the Section Chief at Kimuraya Sohonten, expressed his hope that consumers would feel more positive about love after tasting their bread. "We want those who eat our bread to feel an uplifting spirit towards love," he said.

This innovative range of bread will be available sequentially in supermarkets around the Kanto region starting February 1st, marking a significant step in the fusion of food technology and emotional experiences.
