KYOTO, Aug 26 (News On Japan) - Prince Akishino, his wife, and their son, Prince Hisahito, attended an entomological conference held in Kyoto Prefecture.
The family viewed a display of research posters summarizing the findings presented at the "International Entomological Congress."
Prince Hisahito also contributed to a poster, which he created alongside other researchers, detailing dragonflies that inhabit the Imperial Palace.
The conference attracted approximately 4,000 participants from 77 countries and regions.
In his opening remarks, Prince Akishino delivered a speech in English, stating that "insects have a deep connection with our lives and economic activities."
